Oral History Interview Transcripts

This final exhibit section provides insight into Congressman Moakley’s character and personality through transcripts of oral history interviews with the congressman himself, as well as with people close to him both personally and professionally. While these narrators do all mention El Salvador at some point, their interviews cover many other aspects of Moakley’s life and career and are rich resources for understanding him as a person.

Audio and/or video files to accompany these transcripts are available in-person at the John Joseph Moakley Archive and Institute at Suffolk University. Select interview audio files are also available for streaming via the Moakley Archive online catalog; see individual transcript pages for links.

Transcripts are grouped according to their narrators' relationships to Moakley and his work related to El Salvador.
