This document is a "Dear Colleague" letter written by the the original congressional sponsors of H. J. Res. 426, a joint resolution to end U.S. military aid to El Salvador. The sponsors ask their Congressional colleagues to join them in supporting the legislation. In the Moakley Papers, this letter is clipped to another letter (DI-1240A) dated several days earlier. Note: This letter references a New York Times article by Tommie Sue Montgomery, dated March 31, 1982, and titled "Next, in El Salvador."
