Description

This document is the text of Congressman John Joseph Moakley's statement before the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and International law in support of extending the application period for Salvadorans filing for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States. He expresses his feeling that necessarily high application fees prohibited many Salvadorans from applying for TPS and calls for both a four-month extension of the application deadline as well as reduced application fees.
